Alice May was born about 1894 in London Marylebone.1   Alice May's father was Charles Henry STEER and her mother was Amy Lucy STEER. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Fredrick Herbert, Charles Edward, Cissie Gertrude and Nellie Sophia.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
