Ada Sophia was born about 1880 in Mitcham Surrey.1   Ada Sophia's father was Frederick W STEER and her mother was Ellen H STEER. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Sidney G, Lawrence, Winifred D and May Stacey.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
