Horace Edward was born about 1892 in Portsmouth.1   Horace Edward's father was George Edward STEARS and his mother was Clara Jane STEARS. He had two brothers and a sister, named George Henry, Leonard Frederick and Ada Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the four children.
