Annie was born about 1887 in Bonchurch, Isle of Wight.1   Annie's father was Thomas STEARS and her mother was Susannah J STEARS. She had three brothers and a sister, named Charles, James M, Frank R and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the five children.
