Clara Sophia Goad

Clara's father was Samuel Boileau Goad and her mother was Emma (Gordon). Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Thomas Goad and Jane M. She was the second of four children. She had two brothers and a sister, named Goad, Frederick and Anna.

John and Clara were married on 25-Nov-1858 in Simla, India.¹

Marriage Notes
- At Simla, on the 25th Nov. John de Heley Mavesyn Chadwick,
  Esq., H.M's 9th Lancers, of Mavesyn Ridware, county Stafford, and
  Heley Hall, county Lancaster, to Clara Sophia, eldest daughter of Major
  Goad, Bengal Light Cavalry.

They had no children.
