Mary's father was Sir Philip Ainslie and her mother was Mary Ann. She was the oldest of two children. She had a sister named Elizabeth. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named George, James, Ralph, Frederica and Barbara. She died, at the age of 72, on 16-Feb-1882.1
