JAMES' baptism took place on April 9th, 1699 in Aldingham, Lancashire, England.  JAMES' father was WILLIAM Goad and his mother was Elizabeth Mechel.  His paternal grandparents were William Goad and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and a sister, named WILLIAM, JOHN, JOHN, RICHARD and MARY.  He died in 1751.1
