Alice was born on February 5th, 1721 and her baptism took place on February 24th, 1721 in North Creak.¹

Alice's father was Robert Welles and her mother was Mary Welles. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Ann, Mary and Matthew.  She was the youngest of the five children.
