Clement was born in 1823 and his baptism took place on November 2nd, 1823 in Uny Lelant Cornwall.1  Clement's father was Clement Uren and his mother was Alice Harris.  His paternal grandparents were Clement Uren and Amy Wearn. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Henry, William, Richard, Amy, Ann, Alice, Jemima and Jane.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.
