Jane was born on March 21st, 1801 and her baptism took place on April 26th, 1801 in St John Baptist, Croydon.1 Jane's father was Henry Letts and her mother was Sarah Hewitt. She had three sisters named Harriet, Ann and Mary. She was the oldest of the four children.
