Thomas' father was Thomas Kedge and his mother was Sophia Parham.  His paternal grandparents were Anthony Kedge and MARY HARRIS. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Anthony, William, Isaac, Mary, Hannah, Eliza, Sarah and Louisa.  He was the oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named George, Elisabeth, Mary, Emily and Elizabeth.

‌Thomas and Hannah were married in 1843.³   They had two daughters named Susan and Sarah.
