Ellen's father was Isaac Kedge and her mother was Ann Eliza Lee.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Kedge and Sophia Parham; her maternal grandparents were Robert Miller Lee and Elizabeth. She had a brother and four sisters, named George, Mary, Eliza, Margaret and Aunty Pem.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 87 in 1948.² 

‌Ellen and John were married in a religious ceremony on April 14th, 1884 in All Saints Church Wandsworth Surrey by G. Lloyd Eng[es]trom and witnessed by Peter Bryce Withey, Emma Kedge.³
