Henry was born on June 15th, 1849 in Thorne.1  Henry's father was Edward Horsman and his mother was Ann Staniland.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Horsman and Elizabeth Doble; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Staniland and Jane Barley.  He died at the age of 76 on October 26th, 1925 in Krugersdorf, Ontario.2

‌Henry and Lydia were married in a religious ceremony on August 11th, 1875 in Free Wesleyan Chapel, BrunswickSt. Huddersfield witnessed by William Fenton; Hannah Eliza Fenton.1  They had a daughter named Elsie.
