Henry was born in 1829 and his baptism took place on May 31st, 1829 in Clapham.1  Henry's father was Edward Horsman and his mother was Elizabeth Doble.  His paternal grandparents were Timothy Horsman and Martha Bright; his maternal grandparents were John Doble and Sarah Follot. He had three brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Edward, Robert and Martha.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 12 in 1841 in Clapham.2
