Clara was born in 1870 and her baptism took place on August 28th, 1870 in Hayes, Kent, England.1  Clara's father was Henry Distill and her mother was Ellen Mould.  Her paternal grandparents were James Distill and Ann Beach. She had a brother and a sister, named William and Jane.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 3 in 1873.2
