Margaret was born in 1761 and her baptism took place on January 18th, 1761 in North Nibley, Gloucester.  Margaret's father was Thomas Curnock and her mother was Esther (?Hestor) Hitchins.  Her paternal grandparents were John Curnock and Hestor Brown. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Robert, William, John, Thomas, Esther and Esther.
