Manuel's father es Fabriciano Gallo (Chavarriaga) and his mother era Josefina Valderrama.  His paternal grandparents eran Manuel Gallo (Sanchez) and Carmen Julia Chavarriaga. El tubieron un hermano and three Hermanas, named Gustavo, Rosalba, Nelly and Edilma.  El died from cancer.
