Catherine Cook

Catherine was born on June 20th, 1822 in Glasglow, Scotland. Catherine's father was Capt. Aaron Cook and her mother was Mary Cook. She was an only child. She died at the age of 60 on March 30th, 1883 in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Her burial was in Baldwin Cemetery.

General Notes
- Catherine was the daughter of the first settler in Kane County Illinois, a man called "Shanty Cook" who settled in 1835 and owned many acres of land. Thomas emigrated to Illinois and married Catherine. He was School Master in the first log School House built in 1839. The following year the school burnt down. Later, in JoDavies County, Illinois, T.W.Glasspool was candidate and then commissioned for Justice of the Peace, Pleasant Valley Township, 1847, and then again commissioned for Justice of the Peace, on 18 April 1854
