Петр was born in 1806.  Петр's father was Дмитрий Сергеевич Дохтуров and his mother was Мария Петровна Оболенская.  His maternal grandparents were Петр Александрович Оболенский and Екатерина Андреевна Вяземская. He had a brother and two sisters, named Сергей, Варвара and Екатерина.  He died at the age of 37 in 1843.
