Kate was born in 1877. Kate's father was Reuben TOBIAS and her mother was Sarah KING.  Her paternal grandparents are Isaac TOBIAS and Hannah MICHAEL; her maternal grandparents are Edward KING and Margaret HALL. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Reuben, Julius Caesar, Reuben Augustus, Sarah Emily, Rachel Hannah, Jeannette, Rebecca and Lillian.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 31 in 1908.
