Hannah was born about 1880 in Newcastle on Tyne. Hannah's father was George S TOBIAS and her mother was Sarah Ann.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel TOBIAS and Hannah. She had a brother and five sisters, named George, Alice, Emily, Eliza, Sarah and Susannah.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
