Ivy was born in 1890 in Denton, England. Ivy's father was Thomas SHAW and her mother was Mary Jane BOOTH.  Her paternal grandfather was Anthony SHAW; her maternal grandparents were William BOOTH and Esther. She had six brothers and six sisters, named William, Harold, Booth, Anthony, Thomas, Edward, Mary, Lillian, Esther, Martha, Ada and Eva.  She died at the age of 68 in 1958 in Denton, England.
