John Patrick was born on April 17th, 1894 in Eaglehawk. John Patrick's father was John Henry McCORMICK and his mother was Mary Catherine CASEY.  His paternal grandparents were Edward McCORMICK and Jane DAVISON; his maternal grandparents were Patrick CASEY and Bridget WHELAN. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Edward, Daniel, James Louis, Veronica Bridget, Teresa Mary, Jane Agnes and Mary Catherine.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 74 on June 14th, 1968 in Bendigo.1
