Edward Henry was born in 1893 in Echuca.1  Edward Henry's father was James Lyons GOBBETT and his mother was Elizabeth HUMPHRIES.  His paternal grandfather was Edward GOBBETT and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth LYONS; his maternal grandfather is John HUMPHRIES. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Thorpe, Louis Evan, William, Reginald, Joseph Leslie, Elizabeth Emma and Janet Hapsburg.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 63 in 1956 in Melbourne.2
