Margaret Alice's father was John Thomas CLUGSTON and her mother was Helena Victoria BURGIN. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew CLUGSTON and Ellen CHURCH; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Henry BURGIN and Mary Ann BLOOMFIELD. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John Thomas, Andrew William, Mary Jane, Frances Ellen, Agnes, Lillian Florence May, Rose Eleanor, Violet Christina and Alice Eleanor. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 7 in 1910 in Dookie.²
