Emily was born on July 6th, 1877 in Kingston Brow, Hyde. Emily's father was John ASHTON and her mother was Elizabeth STANSFIELD.  Her maternal grandfather was James Hall STANSFIELD.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 42 on September 3rd, 1919.  She was buried in Denton Cemetery.
