Edward (Eddie) was born in 1880.  Edward (Eddie)'s father was Edward (E.J.) John McDermot and his mother was Mary Donellan.  His paternal grandparents were Edward   McDermott and Kate Mc Greevey; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Donnellan and Mary Casey. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas born and died 1882, Kathleen and Jane (Jenny).  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 79 in 1959.
