Masechaba's father is Leponesa Masithela and her mother is Mosadi Oa Leponesa.  Her paternal grandfather was Khomoeamola Masithela and her paternal grandmother is Mosadi Oa Khomoeamola. She has four brothers and two sisters, named Thabiso, Matlokotsi, Moepa, Sethifilane, Mirriam and Masenuku.
