LifeSketch: Rubie (her preferred spelling) was born and grew up in Drummoyne.  She married Samuel at age 22 at the same church where she had been christened.  At first they lived at Meadowbank, but on the death of her parents, Rubie and Samuel moved to her childhood home at 17 Park Road, and lived there until William died.  William died when Rubie was 68.  She sold her home and moved to the seaside, with a beachfront apartment in Monterey.  She died age 81 years.
