"Mr. Louis Halberstater, 76, died at his home, Dee Street, Mt. Morgan. He was a master butcher in Mt. Morgan for many years, and had grazing interests in the Dawson Valley. He was a member of the former Mt. Morgan Town   Council, and was Mayor in 1916. Besides owning several prominent racehorses, he was first secretary of the Mt. Morgan Jockey Club. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Dr. L. Halberstater (Townsville), Mr. C. Halberstater (Nanango), and Mr. A. Halberstater (St. Lawrence), and one daughter, Mrs. F. G. Walsh (Sydney)."

"DEATH OF MR LOUIS HALBERSTATER
The death occurred yesterday afternoon at his residence. Dee Street, Mount Morgan, of Mr Louis Halberstater, a well-respected citizen of 50 years' standing. Born at Rockhampton 76 years ago, Mr Halberstater came to Mount Morgan is the early days of the township. In 1900 he married Miss Mary Sheehan, formerly of the Queensland Education Department, and sister of Mrs G. Hempenstall, Mount Morgan. For many years Mr Halberstater was a master butcher in Mount Morgan and in addition conducted grazing interests in the Dawson Valley. He was a member of the now defunct Mount Morgan Town Council, being Mayor in 1916. A keen racing enthusiast, be was the first secretary of the Mount Morgan Jockey Club. He was a recognised horse-fancier and owned several notable performers, prominent among which were Viscount, Nola, and Bandolier. Mr Halberstater was also a keen bowler. In 1916 he took up a grazing property. Doreen, at St Lawrence, where his third son, Allan, assisted him in the management. Mr Halberstater was a keen Judge of cattle and secured numerous awards at Rockhampton Shows. He leaves a wife and a grown-up family (Dr L. Halberstater, Townsville; Mr C. Halberstater, Nanango; Mr A. Halberstater, St Lawrence; and Mrs G. Walsh, Sydney). A brother, Mr Maurice Halberstater, a well-known grazier in the Dawson Valley, died some years ago. The funeral will move from the Sacred Heart Church, Gordon Street. Mount Morgan, at 11 o'clock this morning."

Mount Morgan Cemetery records state that "Louis HALBERSTATER, aged 76, died on the 28th October 1942 and was buried in the Mt Morgan Cemetery, Catholic section, on the 29th October 1942. It listed his occupation as Grazier"

Norah Ellen Frances Scanlan was born on the 5 Jun 1866 at Oakey Creek Station, Oakey Creek, QLD. Her parents were John Scanlan (1823-1918) and Mary Theresa Quinlan (1828-1878).

Norah passed away on the 31 Jan 1957 in the city she once rued - Sydney.

NSW Death Cert No. 510/1957 states that the death of Ellen  KINCHINGTON was registered in Sydney NSW, in 1957. She was recorded as being 90 years old at the time of he death.

The Ryerson Index has a record of the death of Ellen KINCHINGTON stating that she died on the 31st January 1857. This death notice was published in the Sydney Morning Herald on the 4th February 1957.

Dympna Louisa Conmee, aka Kinchington, was born on the 30 Mar 1895 in Rockhampton, QLD to Norah Ellen Frances Conmee (1866-1957) and Louis Halberstaedter (1866-1942).
On her birth certificate it lists Patrick Joseph Conmee as her father but as has been discovered her mother Norah was actually seperated from Patrick at the time and was residing with Mr. Haberstaedter a Master Butcher from Mount Morgan, QLD.  (reference - Collins Family Tree )
