Leon's father was Vivian Vincent Conmee and his mother was Theresa (Tess) Winifred Worthington.  His paternal grandparents were Patrick Joseph Conmee and Norah (Nellie) Frances Ellen Scanlan; his maternal grandparents were Harold Richard Worthington and Annie Eva Farrelly. He had a brother and a sister, named Barrie and Colette.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 71 on October 15th, 2000 in Brisbane, Qld.²
