Alfred and Emma Beaumont, with their daughter Suzannah, arrived in Sydney, aboard the sailing ship, "Bussorah" in March 1853. Suzannah's brother was born on board the ship en route and was named Thomas Brownfield, after the master of the ship. After the birth of two more, in Sydney, the family moved to Rockhampton in 1859 and then onto 'Old Calliungal' in 1860.
