Constance was born in 1892 in Lyne.  Constance's father was Peter ROLFE and her mother was Ann DIGANCE.  Her paternal grandparents were John ROLFE and Sarah; her maternal grandparents were John DIGANCE and Emma FREEMAN. She had six brothers and four sisters, named George, James, Frederick, Wilfred, Percival, Charles, Lily, Emma, Maud and Kate.  She was the youngest of the eleven children.
