Walter MORTLOCK 
Walter was born in 1859 in Shimpling and his baptism took place there on June 10th, 1860. Walter's father was Robert Fenner MORTLOCK and his mother was Sarah BRUCE. His paternal grandparents were Unknown and Elizabeth MORTLOCK. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Alfred, George, Samuel, Ellen, Elizabeth, Matilda, Emma and Jane. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
