Samuel was born on March 10th, 1757. Samuel's father was Samuel MORTLOCK and his mother was Mary CLARK. His paternal grandparents were Richard MORTLOCK and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Abraham, Richard, William, Priscilla, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
