Eric was born in 1911 in Wandsworth, Surrey.1 Eric's father was Ernest (Willie) Victor MORTLOCK and his mother was Edith Ellen CLARK. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mortimer MORTLOCK and Elizabeth Isabella COVELL. He had a brother and a sister, named Ronald and Joan. He was the oldest of the three children.General Notes
