Emma was born in 1840 in Thorpe Morieux and her christening took place there on September 13th, 1840.  Emma's father was John HOWE and her mother was Susanna FARROW.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel HOWE and Elizabeth LISTER. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, George, Charles, Benjamin, Thomas, Frederick, John, William, Mary and Hannah.  She died at the age of 55 in 1895 in Cockfield.  The funeral took place on January 19th, 1895 in Cockfield.
