Robert was born in 1873 in Stoke. Robert's father was William CHRISTMAS and his mother was Martha BROWN. His paternal grandparents were William CHRISTMAS and Susannah WESTFOLD. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Frederick, Edward, Mary, Ann, Kate, Amelia, Emma, Rose and Maud. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
