Arthur Allan BOWERS 
Arthur was born on August 5th, 1897 in Great Oakley and his baptism took place there on April 24th, 1906. Arthur's father was Henry BIRD and his mother was Mary Ann BOWERS. His paternal grandparents were Joshua BOWERS and Emma BIRD. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named George, Albert, George, Walter, Robert, Emma, Emily, Emmeline, Alice, Gertrude, Jessie and Ida. He died at the age of 75 in 1972.-
