  Ellen was born in 1819 in Bosden.¹ 

  • Birth Notes
    • Hellen in 1861, 10 years older than Joseph.
      
      Recorded as "Elen", aged 52 and 62 in 1871 and 1881, but was "Hellen" in 1861.  Perhaps they dropped their H's as they spoke back in those days, or the enumerator didnt hear clearly.

  She died at the age of 72 in September 1891 in Stockport.²
