John and Betty were married in a religious ceremony on September 7th, 1856 in Huddersfield.¹

  Marriage shows Betty Ward (not Robinson), with father George Ward (her adopted stepfather)

They had a son and a daughter, named George and Hannah. There are no more children.

Family Notes
- Presumably married in huddersfield district, but no search record found on FreeBMD or Yorkshire-BMD in 2007.
  Betty and John are living appart in 1901, both in Golcar, and both as Widow. One must be wrong !
