General Notes
James H Mather was a clogger in 1861 with wife "Martha", but Martha must have died as in 1881 he is a provision dealer and his wife is "Ann". (James Mather, son of Isaac was also a Clogger in 1861).
By 1891 James and Ann had moved to Middle Hulton, now a retired grocer. This explains why James and Ann are buried at Deane.
Ann and James were married in a religious ceremony in January 1874 at Bolton Emmanuel.5
