This cannot the John and Alice from Pilling (as they had several children baptised before their Oct 1805 marriage)
14 Oct 1805, John and Alice Mather married. It is the only Lancashire marriage to an Alice before 1814 (when Ann was baptised). Where are the earlier baptisms?
Between 1814 and 1819, John and Alice had three daughters baptised at Egerton Chapel. Their abode in 1814 and 1816 is shown as Orrell Folds, and then Turton
July 1828, daughter Ann may have died in Blackburn, aged 14.
In 1851, There is a John Walmsley (b.1786, Turton) marred to Elizabeth and living at Queen Street, Wheelers Hill, Stourbridge, Worcestershire.
Three old John Walmsleys died in Bolton in 1846 (70), 1854 (73) and 1855 (68).
