Thomas was born in April 1844 in Bolton.1  Thomas' father was Henry Tomlinson and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Ashurst. He had a brother named John.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at 2 months old in June 1844 in Bolton.  He was buried on June 27th, 1844 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2
