Jane was born on November 12th, 1808 in Wrexham and her baptism took place there on March 19th, 1809.1  Jane's father was John Tomlinson and her mother was Hannah Hockenhull. She had two sisters named Elizabeth and Hannah.  She was the oldest of the three children.
