Clara's father was Stephen Henry Taylor and her mother was Mary Ann Holehouse.  Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Taylor and Ellen Harrison; her maternal grandparents were James Holehouse and Ellen Green. She had a brother named Jerome.  She was the younger of the two known children.  She died at the age of 41 in 1929.

‌Clara and John were married.  They had a daughter named Violet.  There are possibly more children.
