Lydia's father was Benjamin Sykes and her mother was Mrs Benjamin Sykes. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Edmund and Mary.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 19 in 1719.  She was buried on October 29th, 1719 in Slaithwaite.¹
