John was born on March 4th, 1620 at St. Boniface (Bunbury) and his baptism took place there in 1620.1  John's father was Thomas Stockton and his mother was Thomasinam Brereton. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Richard, Ales and Katherine.  He was the youngest of the five children.
