18 Apr 1884, Alice Mather (28), of 7 Anderson Street, Adlington daughter of Edward Mather a miner maarried George Speak, a miner of 18 Railway Road, son of Thomas mSpeak a Blacksmith.

George and Alice were married in a religious ceremony on April 18th, 1894 at St. Paul (Adlington) witnessed by John Lee & Betsy Mather.2 The family line is yet to be completed.
