General Notes

In 1851, Henry Soper (15) was a porter at Torquay, not with his parents, but Martha Soper (a probable sister) was a servant to Wiliam and Ellen Hearder (a Chemist).

In 1871, niether John or Henry wasnt with the family although Mary A Smith was 33, married and a "Stone Cutter's wife".

Henry Soper (aged 15) was a porter in 1851 and a carter in 1881.  His children were names Smith, not Soper.
